"That ole tractor has been very good to me", said my father recently. As a girl growing up in rural Missouri, I loved the distant sound of my dad working around our farm on his 1954 John Deere Model 60. I played on that tractor often as well as the 1938 Model G that sat out by the well where our water came from. To this day, I have an appreciation for old tractors and the characteristic Deere "putt-putt" sound off in the distance.
